From Washing Trucks at 18
to Running the Shop
Louie's first job in the industry was washing trucks at U-Haul. He was 18, broke, and had a family to feed. But he saw something in those trucks — a future. So he went to school at night, worked two jobs during the day, and started learning everything he could about diesel engines.
That hustle led to 13 years at Freightliner's dealership, where Louie mastered the craft — diagnostics, engine work, aftertreatment systems, electrical, transmissions. He learned not just how to fix trucks, but how a professional diesel shop should operate: with real diagnostics, honest estimates, and work you stand behind.
But dealership life had limits. Louie saw too many trucks get misdiagnosed, too many customers get overcharged, and too many jobs take twice as long as they should. He knew he could do it better.
In 2018, he opened LTEK Diagnostics in Otay Mesa. The name says it — diagnostics first. Every job starts with a scan, every estimate is transparent, and every repair is backed by a warranty. No guessing. No shortcuts. No BS.
What started as Louie and a lift has grown into a 10+ person team serving owner-operators, trucking companies, and some of the largest fleets in California. The shop has grown, but the standard hasn't changed — every truck gets the same level of care Louie would want for his own.

Runs operations, customer relations, sales, and marketing. The first person you'll talk to when you call or walk in. Makes sure every customer gets a straight answer and a fair estimate.
Esteban
Certified in Cummins and Detroit Diesel platforms. Diagnostics specialist with deep expertise in compliance inspections. Finds what other shops miss.
Raul
Certified across all major engine platforms with years of hands-on experience in complete engine rebuilds. From in-frame overhauls to full teardowns — Raul handles the heavy work.
